KARE Foundation, Inc Partners with Smart Monitor

KARE Foundation, Inc (www.kareofundation.org) a 501 C 3 non-profit formed in 2010 by Rose and Tim Stolarz of Hamilton, NJ announced their partnership with Smart Monitor (www.smart-mointor.com) of San Jose, CA.  KARE Foundation's mission is to raise awareness for epilepsy and to assist the community in receiving devices to make their lives a little easier.  

Smart Monitor provides tracking devices to people with chronic illnesses like epilepsy.  KARE Foundation and Smart Monitor will work together to provide these monitors to those who would not otherwise be able to afford them.  Stolarz said, "When we were introduced to Smart Monitor and what they offered we knew that this would be a great addition to what we already offer the community.  Having a son with epilepsy we know the peace-of mind that having a monitor like this will offer parents."

Sutter Geetha Tamaroon, D.O., of joined Pacific Medical Foundation as a hospitalist

Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, part of the Sutter Health Network, today announced the addition in July of Geetha Tamaroon, D.O., a hospital in internal medicine and Hepatology.

Dr. Tamaroon, certified in internal medicine, received his doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. She holds a master of public health in epidemiology and Biostatistics from UC Berkeley School of Public Health.

Dr. Tamaroon completed an internship and residency at Alameda County Medical Center.

The 9th Annual Walk with Friends Benefits the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation

The ninth annual “Friends 1K MS Walk” benefiting the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation is planned Saturday morning, June 8, 2013 at Heritage Park, 12301 Pardee, Taylor, MI.  Registration for the event is $20.00, which includes an event T-shirt.  Funds raised go directly to support the multiple sclerosis community.

Samara Wolf, pet lover, and individual living with Multiple Sclerosis, has planned and hosted the “Friends” Walk event for the past nine years.  Mrs. Wolf explains why she volunteers in this role. “Although I have this illness, my life is far from over. I live every day to the fullest so as to not have any regrets later. I also make sure to laugh a lot, to not only burn extra pounds, but also to help occupy my mind with the good things,” says Mrs. Wolf.  She hopes that 2013 will be another “breakthrough” year in terms of community awareness and support.
